So here LG announced about its second smartphone under its “LG’s Explorer Project” in which LG earlier launched its LG Wing. Today at CES 2021, the biggest tech event of the year where big companies announced their upcoming tech gadgets, LG Rollable Smartphone is one of them.
We can also address it as LG Slide, the smartphone is expected to launch in June 2021. The upcoming premium smartphone by LG is featured with a side-rolling display whose screen can also be extended to give a tab like view to the users. Several rumors and leaks were in fame these days about the new LG Rollable smartphone in which its price tag is one of them. In recent weeks, we get to see the Rollable phone in South Korea’s carrier intranet database. which clearly point towards the upcoming smartphone by LG under its LG Explorer Project.
The phone is recently trademarked with EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office), in which LG Rollable name was given by the company not LG slide we said earlier. Maybe it is possible that LG is working on two different smartphones: LG Slide and LG Rollable. According to the recent leaks, we also get to know that company is also working on a 17-inch Rollable display laptop.
LG Rollable Smartphone
According to recent leaks and rumors, we get to know about some key features and specifications of the upcoming LG Rollable. The main thing to focus on is its display, according to the tipster the phone is going to come with a 7.4-inch rollable display screen with 2,428×1,080 pixels resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio during phone mode, 2,428×1,366 pixels resolution with a 16:9 aspect ratio during video mode, and 2,428×1,600 pixels resolution with a 3:2 aspect ratio during productivity mode.
The smartphone is rumored to be powered with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC processor paired with 16 GB of RAM. The battery of the phone is said to be around 4,200 mAh. As we discussed earlier also, last week tipster also revealed that the smartphone is registered with South Korea’s carrier intranet database with a carrier model number LM-R910N and the unlocked model number OMD-LM-R910N.
At last but not least the price of the smartphone, which is yet not confirmed but according to the tipster @cozyplanes which tweeted about it on his tweeter handling and later on deleted it revealed that the smartphone could be priced at $2,359 which is when converted to INR roughly figures out to be Rs. 1,73,400.
