The news of the delay was hared by the developers on the official Twitter handling of CyberPunk 2077. In which they have shared that there is going to be a 21 days short delay in CyberPunk 2077 release date which was November 19 but now it is going to be released on December 10.
The reason given for this delay is the compatibility issue with the next-gen consoles i.e PlayStation 5 and Xbox series going to hit the market next month.
CyberPunk 2077 Release Date
The delay isn’t that small for the fans who are waiting a long for the game. Fans are very angry with the news of continuously delaying as it’s been a long for all of us waiting for the release of the game but again it gets delayed which is really a good reason to get angry by the fans.
“Since Cyberpunk 2077 evolved towards almost being a next-gen title somewhere along the way, we need to make sure everything works and every version runs smoothly,” director Adam Badowski and CD Projekt co-founder Marcin Iwinski wrote in the release. “We’re aware it might seem unrealistic when someone says that 21 days can make any difference in such a massive and complex game, but they really do.
Some fans are so angry that they shared old Tweets screenshot with the release date given by the developers early and in the tweets company also said that there will be no further delay in the CyberPunk 2077 Release date but it was just a lie.
Badowski further explained the reason behind the delay and accepted that they ‘undercalculated’ the time the game will be ready for release. “Some of you might also be wondering what these words mean in light of us saying we achieved gold master some time ago. Passing certification, or ‘going gold’ means the game is ready, can be completed, and has all content in it. But it doesn’t mean we stop working on it and raising the quality bar. On the contrary, this is the time where many improvements are being made which will then be distributed via a Day 0 patch. This is the time period we undercalculated.”
