Elon Musk said that they will reduce the cost of its battery cells which will allow the company to achieve the goal of making a new Electric Car which costs only $25000 Dollar and will be launch after 3 years.
Changing the materials inside the cell will allow Tesla to “halve” the price per kilowatt-hour, which will make electric cars roughly the same price as combustion engine ones. Prices of kWh had been falling from years it has fallen from $1,100/kWh in 2010 to $156/kWh in 2019, a drop of 87 percent.
Experts predict that the price will hit $100/kWh by 2023, but Elon Musk Announces New Electric Car said Tesla will kick off a three-year process to bring the price below that — though he didn’t say exactly what the price target would be.

Tesla plans to launch its new own tabless Battery cells which will allow them to improve its vehicles’ range and power. These new Batteries will be made in Tesla’s house, which Musk said will help to reduce costs and bring the sale price of Tesla electric cars closer to gasoline-powered cars. The tabless cells which Tesla is calling the 4860 cells, will make its batteries six times more powerful and increase range by 16 percent.
In present Tesla Source of Batteries is from Panasonic and will keep doing it for some time but after making the Batteries in their house will costs them less to make their vehicles more powerful and better.
Launching Tesla’s Model S Plaid which will available in 2021:
Elon Musk company tesla is working on Model S Plaid Powertrain which have a range between charges of 520 miles, get from 0-60 mph in under two seconds, and a top speed of 200 mph. The price had revealed on Tesla’s website and going to cost $139,990.
New Cathode Plant will built in North America:
Musk said Tesla will build a new cathode plant for its batteries in North America, part of its quest to reduce supply chain costs and simplify cathode production. It’s also making improvements to its process that will make cathodes 76 percent cheaper, and produce zero wastewater.
Cobalt to be Eliminate from Cathodes:
Elon Musk claims to eliminate Cobalt in its cathodes, even though Tesla’s existing batteries use very little. Musk didn’t offer a timeline for when the company will stop using cobalt but said it will make its batteries significantly cheaper. “It’s absolutely critical that we make cars that people can actually afford,” he said. “Affordability is key to how we scale.”

The plan of the car has already made by the company and now Tesla plans to reduce the cost of its battery cells and packs, with an end goal of building a $25,000 electric car.
Tesla will hit this goal using its new “tabless” battery cells, and changing the materials inside the cell, which he said should allow Tesla to “halve” the price per kilowatt-hour. Musk has announced that they will definitely reduce the cost of the Electric Car and will present it to the world in the coming 3 years.
The average price of electric cars in the US has been dropping, most recently from $64,300 in 2018 to $55,600 in 2019, a 13.4 percent decline. And that’s mostly thanks to Tesla’s Model 3. But it’s still high compared to the average price of a regular, gas-burning vehicle at $36,600.
“I think in order for us to get up to…a 25,000 car, that’s something we can do,” Musk said in an interview with You Tuber Marques Brownlee. “But if we work really hard I think maybe we can do that in about three years.”
